The short answer. In 2026 the SEO price in Singapore runs roughly SGD 800–2,500 a month for a local-SME retainer, SGD 2,500–8,000 a month for a competitive or mid-market programme, and SGD 8,000–25,000+ a month for enterprise, B2B or multi-market work. Consultants bill roughly SGD 100–300 an hour. A one-off audit is SGD 1,500–8,000. Advertised fixed packages start around SGD 1,000 a month. Everything here excludes 9% GST.
Disclosure first: we sell this. finyki runs SEO and AEO programmes for B2B teams in Singapore, and how we bill — fixed scope you approve up front, no hourly meter, you own everything we ship — is on our pricing page. So the ranges below are ours plus what we see in the Singapore proposals clients forward us for a second opinion, not a market survey. Whether you are pricing a retainer, a package, a consultant or an audit, you want the same thing: a number for a budget line, without a discovery call first. That is what this guide is.
TL;DR — SEO pricing in Singapore, 2026
- Monthly retainers run roughly SGD 800–2,500 (local SME), SGD 2,500–8,000 (competitive / mid-market) and SGD 8,000–25,000+ (enterprise, B2B, multi-market). Most 50–200-person companies belong in the middle band.
- Consultants charge roughly SGD 100–300 an hour, or SGD 1,500–5,000 a month on a fractional retainer. They beat an agency when you already have people to execute.
- Public packages we checked on 8 Oct 2026 advertise from about SGD 1,000 to SGD 8,000 a month, often with a six-month minimum. The listed price is a floor, and keyword counts are the wrong unit to compare on.
- A one-off SEO audit is roughly SGD 1,500–8,000. The free ones are sales tools; budget for one real audit before any retainer.
- Sometimes the right price is zero. No sales capacity, no differentiated offer, or a site that cannot convert means SEO is not what to buy yet.
SEO price in Singapore by buying model (2026)
Most guides give one range for "SEO" and leave you to work out why one agency quoted SGD 900 and another SGD 9,000. The spread is not markup. It is four different products sold under one word: the SGD 900 is a keyword package with a junior and a template report, the SGD 9,000 is a senior-led programme with technical work, real content and earned links. So how much does SEO cost in Singapore? This table is our answer, from our own pricing and the proposals we see.
| Buying model | Typical SGD range (ex-GST) | What you are buying | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hourly consultant | SGD 100–300 / hour | Strategy, audits, technical fixes. You execute. | Teams with an in-house writer or developer |
| Advertised fixed package | SGD 1,000–8,000 / month | A set bundle: keywords, posts, links, a report; often a 6-month minimum | SMEs that want a predictable line item |
| Retainer — local SME | SGD 800–2,500 / month | One location, local and long-tail terms, light content | Clinics, F&B, trades, single-outlet retail |
| Retainer — competitive / mid-market | SGD 2,500–8,000 / month | Harder commercial terms, real content and technical work, named senior | Most 10–200-person B2B and B2C companies |
| Retainer — enterprise / B2B / multi-market | SGD 8,000–25,000+ / month | Complex sites, several markets, heavier strategy, AEO layer | Regional teams, funded companies, large catalogues |
| One-off project | SGD 3,000–30,000 | A migration, a technical fix sprint, a content cluster, schema rollout | A defined job with a defined end |
| One-off audit | SGD 1,500–8,000 | Crawl, indexing, speed, content gaps, a prioritised fix list | Before any retainer; after a traffic drop |
| AEO / GEO layer | Usually a premium on a retainer; standalone GEO packages from about SGD 2,500 / month; included in our SGD 3,000–20,000 / month scopes | Getting cited in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude; citation tracking | B2B buyers who now ask AI tools first |
Two things to read off that table. The hourly and package rows look cheap next to the retainers only until you multiply them out: 20 consultant hours a month at SGD 200 is SGD 4,000, a mid-market retainer without the execution. And the AEO row is mostly sold as a premium on classic SEO in Singapore; Stridec, below, is the clearest exception, and our own scopes include it rather than bill it separately.
What Singapore SEO packages actually include at their listed price
Most SEO services pricing Singapore agencies publish is a package floor, and almost nobody who writes about SEO packages Singapore buyers actually see prints the public numbers. Here are the package pages we could load on 8 October 2026 and what they say they include. These are the vendors' listed prices and listed deliverables, not our estimate of their work. Prices change; check the page first.
| Vendor and page (checked 8 Oct 2026) | Listed price (SGD) | Term | What the page says is included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Digitrio — Comprehensive SEO Package (digitrio.com.sg/seo-packages-pricing) | From 1,000 / month, 30 keywords onwards | Minimum 6 months | Keyword research, GA4 and Search Console setup, on-page optimisation, technical fixes, Core Web Vitals work, blog content with visuals, link building, monthly report with quarterly review |
| Best SEO Singapore (bestseo.sg/pricing) | From 2,800 / month; three tiers, tier prices on a separate page | 6 months initial, then monthly with 30 days' notice | Scope fixed in writing before signing, no setup or exit fees, GA4 and Search Console, conversion tracking to CRM, monthly report with revenue attribution, WhatsApp line to the strategist, 90-day performance guarantee, grant-eligible |
| Stridec — GEO services pricing (stridec.com/geo-services-pricing) | GEO Foundations 2,500 / month; GEO Authority 4,500 / month; Domination (full GEO + SEO) 8,000 / month | Monthly, cancel anytime; two months free on an annual term | Priced on AI channels and topics rather than keyword counts. Foundations: one AI channel, 3 topics (30–50 terms), 8+ content pieces a month, monthly citation snapshot. Authority: two channels, 7 topics (80–300 terms), 15+ pieces, citation tracking. Domination: three channels including Claude, up to 20 topics, 25+ pieces, link building, quarterly reviews |
Beyond the numbers: of the packages we checked, the floor for a credible agency package in Singapore is about SGD 1,000 a month, and the SME-facing tiers in the table above sit between SGD 2,500 and 4,500. Six-month minimums are common, so where one applies the real first cheque is SGD 6,000–27,000, not the monthly figure. Keyword counts are the unit most packages advertise and the unit that matters least: 40 keywords nobody searches is worth less than four your buyers type. What is rarely itemised — content pieces, length and author; how links are acquired; who the named person is — is where the price difference actually lives.
What a package price does not tell you
A package is a floor, not a scope. Before you sign an SEO package Singapore vendors advertise, get three things in writing: content pieces per month and their type, how links are earned (none as paid placements), and the name and seniority of the person doing the work. A SGD 2,500 package with a senior and four real articles a month beats a SGD 4,000 package with a junior and a report. The price is only comparable once the deliverables are.
SEO consultant Singapore rates — and when a consultant beats an agency
For some companies the consultant, not the agency, is the better question. In our experience, independent SEO consultants in Singapore bill roughly SGD 100–300 an hour, with the senior end — people who have run search for a large brand or an agency — at SGD 200–300. Day rates land around SGD 800–2,000. A fractional arrangement, a fixed block of hours each month with the consultant owning the roadmap, typically runs SGD 1,500–5,000 a month. Below SGD 100 an hour you are often buying an offshore freelancer through a local intermediary: fine for execution, poor for strategy.
When a consultant is the better buy
- You already have hands. An in-house writer, a developer who can ship changes, a marketer who owns the calendar. The consultant supplies judgement; your team supplies hours. It is the cheapest way to run serious SEO, and only cheap if the hands exist.
- The job is finite. A migration, a penalty, a technical audit, a relaunch. Pay for six weeks of expertise and stop.
- You want to learn it. A consultant who trains your team leaves capability behind. A retainer leaves a report.
When an agency is the better buy
- You have budget but no hands. Most 10–50-person companies are here. A consultant writes a roadmap nobody executes.
- Volume matters. Competitive categories need content and links at a pace one person cannot sustain.
- You cannot afford a single point of failure. A consultant on holiday is a programme on pause. An agency, in theory, has cover.
The hybrid we see work most often at 50–200 staff: a senior lead for strategy and technical, your own team or a content shop for production. It costs less than a full retainer, and it is the only model where you end up owning the capability.
SEO audit Singapore: what one costs, and when to buy it
An SEO audit in Singapore runs roughly SGD 1,500–8,000 as a one-off, depending on site size and depth. At the low end: a crawl, an indexation check, Core Web Vitals, a list of on-page problems. At the high end: all of that plus a content-gap analysis against named competitors, a log-file review, a schema and entity plan, and a prioritised roadmap with effort estimates. The roadmap is what you are paying for. A 90-page PDF of tool exports is a crawl with a cover page, not an audit.
Two kinds of audit are free. The automated one — paste your URL, get a score — is a lead magnet with a traffic light on it. The agency one, offered before the proposal, is a sales document, often good because the agency wants the retainer, and written to justify a monthly number. We offer our own: send us your domain and three queries you wish you ranked or were cited for, and we send back where you would win first. That is a sales tool too. We just say so.
Buy a paid audit before any retainer over SGD 2,500 a month, after a sudden traffic drop, before a rebuild, and whenever you suspect a previous agency bought links. The SGD 3,000 audit that stops you signing the wrong SGD 5,000-a-month retainer is the best line in the SEO budget.
What moves the SEO price up or down
Two companies the same size can be quoted numbers three times apart, and both quotes can be fair. Six variables move the SEO cost Singapore agencies quote, in roughly the order they matter.
- Competition on the terms you want. "Accounting services Singapore" and "payroll software for SMEs" are fought over by well-funded sites. Local, long-tail or niche B2B terms are not. This single variable can double the number.
- Content volume and who writes it. Four researched 1,500-word pieces a month by someone who understands your buyer cost more than eight 600-word posts from a content mill. They also work. If the quote does not say how many, how long, by whom, ask.
- The state of the site. A slow, template-heavy site with indexation problems needs technical work before content can rank. If you are also weighing a rebuild, read our guide to what a website really costs in Singapore first; sometimes the SEO budget belongs there.
- Markets and languages. Singapore plus Malaysia plus Indonesia is three programmes, plus hreflang and localisation.
- Whether AEO is in scope. Being cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews needs entity work, schema, content restructured to be quotable, and tooling to measure citations. Most Singapore agencies price it as a premium; a few price it as the product.
- Seniority. The named person on your account is the real product. Senior-led work costs more per month and less per result.
"A retainer is not a price. It is a list of deliverables with a number attached. If you cannot see the list, you cannot compare the number."
What you should actually pay: 10, 50 and 200 people
The section package-sellers skip, because the honest answer is sometimes "nothing yet".
Around 10 people, founder-led
Your constraint is not budget; it is attention and sales capacity. If your buyers search locally — a clinic, a renovation firm, a specialist F&B supplier — a local-SME retainer at SGD 800–2,500 a month, or a SGD 1,000–3,000 package from the table, is reasonable, provided someone answers enquiries within the hour on WhatsApp. If your buyers are B2B and your category is small, spend SGD 2,000–4,000 once on a consultant to fix the site, write the ten pages that matter and set up tracking, then stop. Do not sign a six-month retainer to find out whether search demand exists. Find out first.
Around 50 people, a marketing team of one to three
The sweet spot for the mid-market band, SGD 2,500–8,000 a month, and the size where the hybrid pays off: a senior lead for strategy and technical, your own team producing content from that lead's briefs. Budget SGD 40,000–80,000 for the first year including a proper audit, and insist on a named senior and a written deliverable list. If your B2B buyers now ask AI tools before they open a browser, this is the size at which the AEO premium starts to make sense.
Around 200 people, regional or funded
Now the question is build versus buy. An in-house SEO lead can cost as much as a mid-market retainer once you add CPF, tooling and management time, and a good one is hard to hire. The pattern we see work: an agency or senior consultant on SGD 8,000–20,000 a month for strategy, technical and AEO, an in-house content function, and a quarterly roadmap the board can read. Budget annually, SGD 100,000–250,000, measured in pipeline, not rankings. If the number scares you, compare it to the paid-media line it is meant to reduce.
When SEO is not worth buying at all
- No sales capacity. If enquiries sit for two days, rankings produce leads for your competitors. Fix response first.
- No differentiated offer. Rank for "cheapest X Singapore" and you win the click and lose on price. SEO amplifies a position; it does not create one.
- A site that cannot convert. Traffic into a slow, vague, form-less site is money through a sieve. Fix the funnel first; our guide to conversion rate optimisation in Singapore covers what that costs and where to start.
- You need results in 60 days. Competitive SEO takes four to six months to show and a year to compound. If the runway is shorter, buy ads and outbound, and start SEO when you can afford to wait.
- No search demand exists. New categories, especially in AI and deep tech, have no queries yet. Spend on content that creates the category and on being cited where buyers ask, not on terms nobody types.
Is SEO still worth it in 2026?
Yes, with a narrower definition of "SEO" than the one you bought in 2020. The top of the funnel got eaten: as we wrote in our piece on AI Overviews and top-of-funnel traffic, informational B2B queries now resolve inside Google's own answer, and the click never arrives. Paying a retainer to rank "what is" articles is paying for traffic that increasingly does not exist. The bottom of the funnel got more valuable: "payroll software for 50 staff" still produces clicks, from people further along than they used to be.
So worth it in 2026 looks like this: fewer, more commercial pages; technical foundations both Google and AI crawlers can read; content shaped to be quoted, not just ranked; and measurement that includes whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews cite you. A proposal still priced on "50 keywords and four blog posts" is selling the 2020 product at 2026 prices. One priced on commercial coverage, technical work and citations is probably worth what it costs.
Which company is best for SEO in Singapore?
Google shows "which company is best for SEO?" and "which SEO agency is the top in Singapore?" under this search. The honest answer to both: there is no single top agency, only the right one for your size, category and budget. A PSG-eligible all-rounder for a single-outlet SME; a large performance agency when SEO runs beside heavy paid media; a B2B specialist when buyers search inside AI tools; a consultant when you have hands and no strategy. We keep a disclosure-first, alphabetical comparison of ten Singapore agencies, ourselves included, in our best SEO agencies in Singapore guide.
One pricing test for any agency on any list: ask what happens to the content, on-site changes and links if you leave. If the answer is not "they are yours", the retainer is rent, and the price is higher than it looks.
How finyki prices SEO and AEO
Here is where we sit. We price SEO and AEO the way we price everything on our pricing page: a fixed scope you approve before work starts, no hourly meter, scoped quarterly as audit, roadmap, build and operate. The senior who scopes your programme runs it. The content, schema, on-site changes and citation tracking are yours, and you can leave with them. We sit in the competitive and B2B bands above, not the local-SME band; for a single-location business with local terms, a package vendor in the table will serve you better and cheaper, and we will say so on the first call. We do not take single-keyword jobs.
Indicatively, our SEO and AEO retainers run from around SGD 3,000 a month for a focused SME programme to the SGD 8,000–20,000 range for B2B or multi-market scopes with the AEO layer included, before GST. A one-off audit sits in the SGD 1,500–8,000 band depending on site size, and we credit it against a retainer if you continue. Those are bands, not a package price; a number without a scope is a hook, not a quote. The actual number comes in writing after one conversation about your domain and the three queries that matter, with the deliverables and the named person beside it. If it does not fit the bands on this page, you will know, and so will we.
How to make three SEO quotes comparable
- Same brief. The same ten target queries, the same goal (enquiries, not rankings), the same statement of what your team can execute.
- Deliverables per month, in writing. Content pieces, length, author; technical hours; links and how they are earned; what the report reports.
- Named person and seniority. Who, and how much of their week.
- Term and exit. Minimum months, notice, what you keep. Six months is normal; twelve with no exit is not.
- Total first-year cost including GST and any audit. Compare that number, not the monthly one. Then check whether PSG applies: at the time of writing, eligible Singapore SMEs can get up to 50% support on pre-approved digital marketing solutions. Confirm the current terms on GoBusiness before you count on it.
Do that and the SEO price in Singapore stops being a mystery: three comparable numbers against one scope, and the cheapest is rarely the smallest monthly figure.
